1. A U College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam
College Details :
The Government of Composite Madras State sanctioned the present Engineering
College at Visakhapatnam in 1946 even though the seeds of Technological
education were sown when Sugar Technology was started in the year 1933. In 1946,
initially the College was located at Cocanada, now called as Kakinada. After the
separation of Andhra State in 1953, the Department of Engineering with
Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering sections was started as a part of
Andhra University. In 1960 it was shifted to a 167 acre land now called the
North campus of Andhra University. The restructuring of the University Colleges
saw the emergence of Andhra University College of Engineering in 1960. By 1962
the Department of Chemical Technology, earlier known as Sugar Technology that
started way back in 1933 itself, was also moved to the North Campus. The
sections of Basic Sciences were upgraded in 1964 to Departments in 1979. Over
the years, the Andhra University College of Engineering grew from strength to
strength and at present offers 17 UG and 42 PG Programs.
Andhra University is a premier Institute of higher education in India, was
established in 1926. Located on the uplands of Visakhapatnam, 'The City of
Destiny', the natural beauty of the University campus is breathtaking, with the
spread of serene blue shade of the 'Bay of Bengal' on one side of it and on the
other, beautiful green Kailasagiri hill range. Sir Dr. C.R.Reddy was the founder
Vice-Chancellor of the Andhra University.

3. O U College of Engineering, Hyderabad
College Details :
The University College of Engineering (UCE) has the distinction of being the
oldest and the biggest among the Engineering Colleges of the State of Andhra
Pradesh. Established in the year 1929, eleven years after the formation of
Osmania University, it was the 6th Engineering College to be established in the
whole of British India. The College moved to its present permanent building in
the year 1947. Today it is the biggest among the campus colleges of Osmania
University. The Golden Jubilee of the College was celebrated in 1979, the
Diamond Jubilee in 1989 and the Platinum Jubilee in 2004. The College was made
autonomous in 1994.

4. JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada
College Details :
The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam as was named at the time of its
establishment in 1946 by the then Government of the composite Madras State is
situated in a sprawling campus of 110 acres filled with mango trees in a fast
developing Port city of Kakinada on the east coast of peninsula India and
situated in a zone which through generations, contributed significantly to the
political literacy and cultural heritage of the country. This college became a
constituent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University w.e.f 02-10-1972
through an act of legislature along with other sister institutions under the
control of the then Director of Technical Education, Government of Andhra
Pradesh. Earlier, it was affiliated to Andhra University.In the year 2003 the
college has become autonomous.

College Details :
Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was established in 1954, in the world

Founded in 1981 by Vasavi Academy of Education, Vasavi College of Engineering
represents a rich tradition of excellence in technology-based education. A
premier-league institution among the affiliates of Osmania University, Vasavi
College of Engineering owes its vision to Sri Pendekanti Venkata Subbaiah, a

Vasavi College of Engineering, in its 30 years of existence, is a well reputed
institution in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The college in its pursuit for
quality in technical education has earned 3rd ranking in the State and 32nd in
