Are There Prerequisites?

There are no prerequisites for a bachelor's degree program other than a high school diploma or GED. However, you'll have to earn your bachelor's degree before enrolling in a Master of Science or doctorate program. While many chemical engineering programs at the master's degree level only admit students with an engineering or science background, you can enroll in a bridge program if you were an undergraduate major in another field. A bachelor's degree is also required to enroll in a doctorate program. Some Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering programs require management courses, which you won't have to complete if you earned a Master of Business Administration.
