How Long Will It Take Me To Get a Degree?

Most Bachelor of Architecture programs require five years of study. A Bachelor of Art or Science in Architecture might require only four years of study. According to the American Institute of Architects, most students spend a minimum of five years in an undergraduate program and one to five years in a graduate program. The extended time for the Master of Architecture degree depends on the undergraduate preparation. It is also important to know that to be licensed as an architect, you also need to complete an internship and work in the field for usually at least three years. After that, you have to pass a comprehensive exam. It can differ from state to state, so you would need to check with the state where you want to practice to see what the rules are. You can find information about each state at the NAAB website.
