how much percentile and rank i should get in GATE exam to go to IIT or NIT?

To get into any of the NIT you should try to score a percentile above 90. Generally NITS accept candidates with GATE percentiles between 85-95. If you manage to score above 95 you have a chance to get admission in IITS. Though this time percentiles may go higher due to recession.
