Job Description
-To perform turbocharger component life calculations using fatigue prediction methods. This will include service life assessment.
-To support new product introduction and rapid problem solving process with standard durability analysis.
-To present and interpret analysis test data to internal/external customers.
-To work in functional and cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality and integrity of analysis.
-To liaise with reliability group to understand the relationship between predicted and actual failure rates in the field.
Desired Profile
-Experience in component fatigue life prediction and/or structural integrity analysis (Low Cycle and High Cycle Fatigue).
-Knowledge of nSoft/ Glyphworks fatigue prediction software would be an advantage but not essential.
-Understanding of engine/vehicle duty cycles/applications is preferred.
-Hands on experience in use of data analysis software for post processing, noise removal, time at level analysis.
-Understanding of general FEA and material behavior is preferred.
-Fatigue life prediction methods
-Knowledge of fatigue and life analysis theory, and component life calculations
-Use of fatigue/data analysis software like nSoft/ Glyphworks
-Understanding of engine/vehicle application duty cycles
Weibull analysis
-Knowledge of structural FEA and materials behavior
-Excellent Oral and Written communication
-Excellent Presentation skills
-Attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving
-Flexibility/adaptability to learn new technologies, analysis techniques
