Overall desired profile:

Actively pursuing research in the areas of

HW and SW System-Level Architecture

Embedded Systems Design

Communication Protocols

Should have a Ph.D. from a reputed institute/university with outstanding track record in his/her areas of expertise

Experience and familiarity of the following areas is desired:

With respect to HW and SW System-level Architecture

Architecture development lifecycle -- requirements, specification, design and development for both HW and SW System-level architecture

Fault-tolerant system design (at the architecture level) -- redundancy management, reliability/safety analysis

Partitioning and Allocation algorithms (including scheduling)

Automotive domain -- Electronics, Controls and Software used for automotive

System-Level Architecture Design Dual-Core Micro-controllers

With respect to Communication Protocols:

FlexRay (or Time-Triggered (TT) Protocol)

Ethernet (AFDX, TT-Ethernet, etc.)

Distributed algorithms (e.g., membership, synchronization, diagnosis, etc.)

Modeling and Analysis

Candidates with other relevant experience in embedded systems design would also be considered.
