Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
• Closely work with domain experts to define and elaborate our core domain model
• Work with Development Manager on WBS, estimates, project status, and issue tracking
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of data movement packages for several ongoing needs.
• Documentation and unit test oriented development are secondary tasks.
• Data discovery, business interaction, and database schema modeling would be tertiary tasks.
• Participate in projects involving resources around the global, including New York, London, Minneapolis, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Manila, and Mumbai.
Desired Profile
Each individual will possess the following knowledge and experience:
• Any Engineering or Computer Science degree with a minimum of 2+ years relevant experience in software development
• Must be experienced (2 years minimum) in one, knowledgeable in at least three, and interested in learning/working with all of the following:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ETL (Sql Server Integration Services – SSIS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sql (T-Sql preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in.NET (Database Application Development centric)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence practices
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Discovery/Profiling
• Practical experience with Business Rules engines
• Practical experience with Unit testing
• Ability to quickly assimilate new and complex technologies and concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong commitment to build reliable solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with .NET 3.5/4.0, Silverlight, T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SSIS
• Experience with reinsurance or insurance industry a plus
• Experience with Agile projects
• Data warehouse design a strong plus
• Experience with TFS for version control and SDLC
• Experience with global applications
