Fluency in day-to-day development on Linux platform. Familiarity with Java IDEs like Netbeans or Eclipse a plus.
Fluency in J2SE/J2EE, XML/SOAP, XSLT, Perl, Oracle, web services, and web application/services development.
Firsthand experience with messaging and asynchronous architectures.
Firsthand experience developing distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications in a 24/7 environment.
Understanding of performance/space tradeoffs and browser compatibility issues.
Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) and Design Patterns.
Strong leadership skills, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
5+ years of relevant software development experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Computer science fundamentals knowledge
Rich hands-on programming experience in Java or another object oriented language
