Job Description
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The primary objective is to establish oneself as the quality expert who ensures quality delivery from the customer facing IMS
organization. You have to build excellent knowledge of the product as well as the processes involved to be able to identify
quality gaps in the products, processes as well the delivery of solutions. You have to be equally adept in understanding the
infrastructure supporting the quality delivery â€" landscapes, systems and configurations. You have to become the single point
of contact for all quality related tasks and processes for the primary focus areas of ESR and NWDS. You also have to develop
secondary skills in supporting other NW scenarios like NW Mobile and NW Controls. You will be working for the Installed Base
Maintenance and Support (IMS) organization which is a global unit within the COO Board area supporting SAP's customers for
all products immediately after Ramp-up phase. Your aim will be to take ownership of your topics and collaborate closely with
the developers to deliver the best quality solutions to our customers, who rely on SAP as trusted advisor for their business.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Support all quality related activities of the concerned teams (example: Patch release, co-ordination, consolidation etc)
Perform VQM (Virtual Quality Member) activities â€" collaborate with international QM teams and drive measures locally
Provide guidance to developers on quality processes
Work with close collaboration with developers to ensure quality solutions to customers
Ensure quality processes are adhered to by developers
Ensure that product is stable at all times â€" via thorough testing and pre-checks
Create and maintain infrastructure â€" including configurations
Participate in STAB meetings
Keep developers aware of SP Test Execution results along with deadlines for solutions
Build excellent knowledge of the products
Get involved in scope definition for SP Test Execution
Participate in important IMS projects

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech/MCA High performance and Learning orientation
Knowledge of Quality Standards and Processes
Knowledge of NW products
Test Automation skills
Experience and knowledge of Testing Methodology and Test Data Management
Experience with Landscape Maintenance
Knowledge of technologies like ABAP/Java will be helpful
WORK EXPERIENCE
1 to 3 years work Experience Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
Knowledge of SAP’s product, quality and process standards
Ability to implement improvements of IMS quality processes ( e.g. correction and maintenance strategy )
Prior experience with quality tasks
Knowledge and experience of working with Correction Workbench
Good knowledge of NW in general and ESR in particular
Good analytical, problem-solving skills
Strong listening and time management skills
A tenacity and patience to seek pragmatic and effective solutions
A proven track record as a good team player
