Department Description:
Platforms development team is responsible for development & maintenance of some of the core sub-products of Enterprise Tools
& certification of all the third party products used in it. As a member of this team, you will analyze and integrate external
customer requirements. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Integrate new
platforms and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test
plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Required Profile:
BS/MS in EE/CS with at least 7 years of experience in developing commercial server products using C++/MFC on Windows
platform.
Windows internals knowledge. Experience on how Windows works is essential apart from development experience on it.
Deep Windows systems experience (API, Services, Security, Administration, Tuning, Performance)
Significant development and porting experience on Windows (compilers, make systems, open source porting)
Ability to diagnose and debug an application problem whose root cause is a windows bug and then getting the fix from
Microsoft (creating a test case and be able to convince Microsoft that it's their issue)
Familiar with how to keep abreast of all the changes in Windows world. Ability to think how new developments in the windows
world can be leveraged by PeopleSoft (Things in Azure or Windows 8)
Understands C++ language standards, complex make systems and how to incorporate new platforms. Strong skills in trouble
shooting, debugging C++, crash dumps.
Familiarity with Java, Linux/UNIX, and Databases is highly desirable. Must Skills: C/C++/MFC and Windows. Preferred Skills:
Java, UNIX, SQL, Oracle, or any other Database.
