RBS India Development Centre (IDC), previously known as Churchill India / ITD India, was acquired as a part of the Churchill Insurance acquisition in 2003. Since then, it has conducted projects for Group Technology, a part of RBS' Manufacturing Division, 

Designation Software Designer -(.Net) 

Job Description Principle Accountabilities:

• Understand business requirements through exchanges with business users, analysts and developers, possibly across multiple locations. Capture requirements and verify them.

• Come up with estimates to be agreed with stakeholders, and deliver to committed timescales.

• Translate requirements into software designs, and have these peer reviewed within the team.

• Implement these designs using the technology stack relevant to each application, and following the process and standards of the project. Unit test to validate the solution.

• Understand the infrastructure requirements of the application, to ensure that business expectations regarding performance, availability, ease of recovery, and contingency are met.

• Produce required support documentation to ensure that global application management teams understand how to manage the application, investigate issues and how to respond to alerts.

• Respond to production issue escalation and requests for level 3 support, on an ad hoc basis.
 
Desired Profile  Educational Qualifications: BE / M Tech / MCA /PGDCA

Technical expertise:

- core C# language and .Net framework concepts, winforms, threading & concurrency.

- solid design skills, object and data modelling, design patterns, familiarity with UML notation

Other 'must have' requirements:

- good spoken and written communication skills, using email, chat, phone and video conferencing

- excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Nice to have:-

Technical expertise:

- NUnit testing framework, mock objects (e.g.: NMock)

- experience of large scale application development, cross application integration, message flows

Other 'nice to have' requirements:

- knowledge of finance or investment banking
