To attain the above goal G.E.T invite qualified & experienced professional for the following positions at our Chennai corporate office and project office located all over India, to join in the journey towards realizing our dream & vision to achieve a total turnover of Rs.500 + Crores by 2009

Desired Candidate Profile
• Should be Electrical B.E or Diploma Holder with 2 to 6 yrs of experience in Purchase Profile
• Should be involved in Material expediting activities to speedup up the activities
• Should be involved in Vendor inspection for ensuring the quality product
• Should have experience in sourcing of HT electrical Materials like Transformer, Circuit Breaker, CT, PT.
• Should have experience in sourcing of Structures, TMT Bars etc
Job Description
• Ascertaining Material Requirements; identifying and developing a reliable Vendor for procurement of materials.
• Sourcing components, negotiating vendors for improving product quality & reducing lead time for deliveries.
• Developing sound sourcing strategies to minimize Total Cost of Acquisition of direct materials.
• Releasing supply schedules to Vendors to ensure on time deliveries.
• Formulating MIS reports relating to material management, cost savings / vendor QA operations & transmitting them to the top management for facilitating the decision making process.
• Negotiating with vendors for procurement of numerous Substation construction related electrical materials, Transformer and HT/LT PANELS. Providing valuable suggestions for efficiency enhancement.
• Successful in building relations with Vendors & Service Providers; resolving critical problem areas and delivering on customer commitments.
• Releasing the Purchase Order as per Sites PR.
• Creation of purchase order through ERP system and ensure on time release
• Cost saving measures on procurement at estimated budget
• Ensure follow-up of Supplier payments and assuring improvement in existing payment terms
