Summary
iPass's handheld software product-line requires Software Development Engineer with 2 to 3 years of exposure to mobile software application development with expertise in developing applications for iOS (iPhone/iPad).
Language & Technology Skills
Must: Objective C, iOS SDK, solid in concepts of object oriented design and programming, ability to write solid code
Added advantage: Exposure to Java
Responsibilities
1. Architect and Design the software to support new user stories (requirements/feature enhancements) drafted by the product manager
2. Create User Interface from very high level concepts and iterate the same to get a mature UI
3. Breakdown high-level requirements into manageable tasks and estimate the effort involved for the tasks
4. Interface with Quality Assurance and Customer Care to understand issues in the software and resolve them systematically
5. Troubleshoot problems that are reported from the field
6. Participate in beta programs as an organizer to elicit feedbacks on the software while in development stages and plough in refinements
7. Plays the role of a Subject Matter Expert in iOS as a technology as well as application development
Management and Reporting
Will report to Engineering Manager of Handhelds development team.
