Senior R&D Engineer (Machine
Learning/ C/ Linux/ Mysql/ Algorithms/ Data structures)
The immediate need is to develop and adapt the automated engine by programming
in C/LINUX for customers. But the real opportunity lies in machine learning,
the paradigm of autonomics.
It requires analytical reasoning ability based on sound statistical methods.
Researchers from the world over have published much about machine learning,
have attempted to build prototypes, but very few, if any, have undertaken the
ambitious project of building production systems on this principle, which will
have considerable impact on business and technical worlds. Imagine a server
hosting an application that can learn (not taught), and over time, become smart
enough to do the job of tier1/2 operations personnel! That's the promise.
It requires a cavernous appetite to learn and develop many such applications,
FAS (fraud detection by statistically mining data) being the first, based on
machine learning. It requires being able to detect intelligent statistical
patterns from a jungle of numbers. It requires being able to carry through a
thought to its logical conclusion (for instance, deducing by eliminating other
possibilities systematically.
Required Skills :
- Strong background in "C" programming, Algorithms & Data Structures.
MySQL and PHP desirable. Software development of the FAS engine: design new
algorithms, program it, test its accuracy and coverage, remedy its
shortcomings, productionanize it to roll out to customers .
- And a voracious appetite to learn how to make machines intelligent.
It's challenging indeed to work at this bleeding edge and nascent technology.
