Role

Designation     Assistant Manager - Systems Engineering

Job Description     

To play an important role in the design of new and improved exhaust system products such as converters, mufflers, and exhaust
pipes.

To interact with the customers to understand their requirements and translate the same in the design of the products.

To interact and coordinate on a regular basis with Prototype, Industrialization, Production, and Quality for resolution of
design related issues, communicating and understanding the design changes etc.

Administrative role of aligning the CAD Data along the lines of GPDM. Ensure the availability of licenses/hardware & SAP
aspects related to Engineering.

To work with initiative and leadership in exhaust system new product development programs including product design,
development, adherence to timelines, cost constraints, manufacturability, and working with vendors.

Conduct engineering studies; prepare 3D, detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, DFMEA, DVP&R and technical
documentation in compliance with all relating regulatory standards.

Support the project with necessary engineering changes, technical advice and support, involving process and part improvement
till project completion.

Develop all technical documentation that includes technical writing and manuals. Where necessary, conduct technical
presentations / training.
 
Desired Profile    

Ability to interact with people with ease and man management.

Good analytical and problem solving ability

Excellent communication skills and team player

Sound knowledge of metals and tube bending, welding, sheet metal pressing, machining and fabrication.

Sound knowledge in different materials for manufacturing and manufacturing processes.

Ability to utilize the latest computer software available for the analysis and modeling of various physical systems.

High level of documentation skills.

Experience in Catia V5 and/or UG NX.

Conversant in GD&T, APQP, PPAP.
