Designation Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description
The person will be responsible for testing of assigned areas in Ideas products. Will have to generate test cases and execute
them. In addition, will also work on resolving cases relating to our products
Essential Functions
Design test cases by studying the requirements and functional specifications
Achieve understanding of product at a detailed level
Develop, document and maintain test suites
Diagnose problems using tools or otherwise
Learn any needed tools/skills efficiently and quickly
Investigate new requirements & execution functionality as well as regression tests.
Improve procedures/tools etc. for areas of responsibility
Need to understand the revenue optimization domain
Defect reporting and tracking
Follow the QA processes
Production issues support if required
Effective communication skills
Desired Profile
Skill Sets:
Bachelor's degree in Computer sciences or Engineering
Must have a strong knowledge of software testing.
2/3 year of experience in testing web applications.
Working knowledge of Webapps / Tomcat / My SQL
Sound knowledge of Test Design, SQL query language.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Perl or any scripting language.
Test automation knowledge using QTP is added advantage.
Experience 2 - 3 Years
