Job Description
The Pre-sales Technical Specialist is a customer-facing pre-sales cum technical role in Softcell. The Pre-sales Technical
Specialist will be part of the PTC SBU of Softcell and will provide technical expertise to the sales team in qualified sales
opportunities for a select range of PTC products and solutions. Softcell is the only "Platinum Partner" of Parametric
Technology Corporation (PTC) in India.
The Pre-sales Technical Specialist should have good knowledge of the design challenges PTC's customers and prospects are
facing and should be able to articulate PTC's Product Development System message to target customers. The Pre-sales Technical
Specialist is expected to perform the required activities to support a sales engagement including customer meetings and
standardized software demonstrations. The Pre-sales Technical Specialist is expected to contribute to the growth of
Softcell's PTC business revenue stream in the assigned opportunities through supporting and identifying new initiatives
related to software, services, training and maintenance sales.
Desired Profile
* Assist sales team in qualifying customer's requests against Softcell's ability to provide a solution around PTC
products.
* Collaborate with the customer to understand their design pain points, capture their design requirements and set
expectations that match Softcell's ability to execute using PTC products.
* Present value propositions on how PTC solutions from Softcell address customers design requirements.
* Participate in account strategy meetings and opportunity reviews with the cross-functional teams.
* Supports sales team in customer meetings.
* Prepare and delivers standard PTC product demonstrations.
* Support techno-commercial aspects in RFQ/RFP/RFI responses.
* Support technical closure in qualified opportunities
* Take ownership of tactical pre-sales activities as a hands-on technical contributor.
* Communicate regularly with the sales team and technical sales management to provide updates on the status of ongoing
activities.
Experience:
* Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Production)
* Professional Experience Years: 2-5 years in pre-sales activities of PTC PDS/MCAD products.
* Should be open to traveling outside Pune for customer calls.
* Should be open to going out on daily customer visits (this is a customer facing role).
