Designation Sr.Software QA Engineer
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
The Interoperability Services team at McAfee is seeking a self-motivated QA engineer who is passionate about service,
quality, and innovation. The role will require:
Planning, deployment, and configuration of workstation and server systems, software products, and networks, in a Virtualized
environment, and performing system administration tasks.
Execute automated tests, analyze and accurately report results, and provide sign off on product releases that meet the
highest quality expectations.
Develop a strong knowledge of the McAfee enterprise products and related technology to manage the engineering infrastructure
and test automation environment for product releases.
Promptly identifying and escalating defects; working with cross site and cross functional product teams to isolate problem;
and tracking the issues to complete resolution.
Performing duties associated with the role of a QA Engineer within McAfee such as create test documentation, participate in
document and process reviews, configure the testing environment, liaise with other functional groups, verify defect fixes
etc.
Desired Profile
Skills and Experience:
4+ years of experience in a software testing and/or information technology environment. Demonstrated ability in the following
areas:
Expertise in two or more of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Perl, Python, VisualBasic
Expertise in VMware: ESX, vSphere, vCenter, LabManager, VM Automation API's
Configuration and management of Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and applications with strong
troubleshooting and debugging skills
Strong experience in performance and interoperability testing of software products in a production scenario with proven
ability to analyze and present results
Ability to quickly learn and deploy software applications in the testing environment from the home consumer, small business,
and enterprise business segments
Schedule estimation of tasks, and on-time delivery against those schedules
Strong written and verbal communications skills in English. Candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire to
continually grow technical expertise.
Qualifications/Education:
BE in Computer Science or equivalent
VCP Certified or equivalent knowledge of at least 2+years experience with the VMware vSphere product line
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP networking technologies
Ability to think independently and render quick, accurate decisions
Experience 4 - 6 Years
