At the initial phases of discussion Outsource2india’s technical team directly gets engaged with the scientists of its customers to understand the challenges faced by them. We will, in most cases, suggest one or more possible strategies to work around the problem. The best possible course accepted after discussion between the sides allows an estimate on effort needed toward completion of the project. Throughout the course of the project a monitoring committee constituted by a coordinator from both ends reviews the progress and suggests any corrective measures. Quality of work is continuously monitored internally and at every milestone by the customer. Our ability to scale up the team size guarantees a rapid turnaround.

Biological and Chemistry databases allow for systematic information storage, analyses of large volumes of data and intelligent query system. Knowledge Management to a great extent becomes dependent on Database Management. Considering the complexities in defining relationships between different types of data, which are semi-structured, dynamic and incomplete the need is for information integration. Through a complex design principle, we help construct a specialized database that can provide a scientist the freedom to ask complex questions in science through a single user interface.

Large volumes of experimental data generated by scientists in the research units of organizations need sophisticated tools for analysis and arriving at meaningful information. We help these organizations in their research efforts either by providing specialized tools for analysis or by performing the data analysis for them. We discover various resources and integrate them to form experimental functionality using new tools. The end result is an analysis of immense potential and adaptability, useful to scientists.

This is really a complicated question, because both GATE score as well as percentile are relative terms. These are measures of performance of a candidate in GATE based on the performance of other candidates appeared in the GATE exam. Before starting the details I recommend you to have a look at How to get into IITs for M.Tech, which will give you an idea of basic requirements for M.Tech in IITs. I already wrote about how GATE percentile is calculated and also gave the details about it. GATE percentile represents a candidate’s performance compared to all the candidates appeared in that same paper in same year. Whereas, GATE score represents a candidate’s performance in comparison to all the candidates appeared in GATE exam since 2007. GATE score and percentile change with the standard of GATE paper. If GATE paper is easy then most of the students get good Scores but the all India rank will be high too. If paper is tough then with less score one can get a very good all India rank. Please refer to a post based on one my readers comment about GATE score in 2009 and 2010 and its analysis. Now comes the real question. How much GATE percentile or GATE Score is needed for M.Tech admission to IITs? The answer is simple. We need to find an absolute attribute to fix it and rephrase the question. A better question can beWhat should be the AIR (All India Rank) in GATE to get into IITs? To answer this, let’s calculate the number of seats in IITs. According to my analysis, there are almost 50~60 seats in each department on average in IITs. And considering only old IITs take admissions for M.Tech, there will be 7X50 (350) seats for M.Tech in IITs for almost every department. Now lets assume, few people go to jobs, study abroad and Govt. sector job we can increase it up to 500 AIR. Apart from this, few departments in IITs conduct their own test and interview for M.Tech admissions may allow students till 700 AIR to be a part of race to join IITs, but this too risky side and depends on chance. Now we have an idea of how much rank we need get into IITs. As we are preparing for GATE we need to know how much marks we should manage to get into IITs. I already posted top marks in GATE 2010. Our average marks in test should be almost close to top marks and we can keep the buffer of 5 to 7 marks. It means we need to score something around but not less than (top marks – 7) marks. Let’s summarize it, Institute AIR Marks IITs 700 Top marks- 7 This will help you set your targets and get ready for the big day. Take practice tests and solve previous year questions to get an idea where do you stand. If you are getting less scores put a little more extra effort. Just don’t give it. Believe me IITs are worth giving a hard try you will enjoy you success later. This is a part of GATE preparation guide, please refer to many other posts related to GATE preparation there. Once you are decided to take up GATE exam and read important information related to it, you are ready to go ahead with preparation. I have few suggestions for students who are serious about cracking GATE exam. I divided the whole process of preparation in few steps and every individual student who aced the GATE will follow these in one or the other way. These are just simple guidelines but the most important thing is your dedication and determination. If you read these steps and appreciate them but don’t follow them then these are of no use. Therefore, I recommend every student to be very sincere and give a good try. The steps are as follows. * Buy or get a copy of previous year question papers if possible with solutions. Having a hard copy is very important and we are going to refer it again and again during whole preparation. * Refer to syllabus and analyze the number of questions asked in each subject. As all subjects don’t have equal marks, few subjects are preferred over others. I mean few subject may have more questions asked in exam than others. I don’t have this subject break up for GATE. If you have done this exercise, please share with us to share with many other students and also we can have a discussion over its validity. * Make a priority list of subjects based on marks or preference given it in previous exams. Marks distribution of subject will help you prioritize and allocate preparation time to different subjects. If distribution is not prepared we usually end up in a random preparation and finally will have tough time dealing with important subjects. Just for example, in GATE CS and IT paper, around 15~20% is from Mathematics, and then Programming and Data Structures, Theory of computation, OS and digital logic. * Allocate realistic time for each subject. And read it all, as there is huge to cover and it’s easy to ask few marks question from anywhere in a subject. * Finish through reading of a chapter of subject, make short notes of important points, this will help you at last moment to revise what you have read. * Once finish a chapter, go back to GATE Question papers and solve the problems from that chapter. These days there lots of question banks available in market for GATE do buy one and practice. Also to try to get Test Series from other friends. Solve all of them. This will help you to assess yourself for level of understanding of the chapter you read. Use a single note book for question answer solution because you may refer it while revising. * Finish detailed reading at least one and half month before. Keep one month for revisions and clearing leftover doubts. Have a look of question you solved during preparation for GATE and remember how you solved them. * Keep last 15 days for fast practice and revision. Solve as many papers and question banks as you can get from any source. * Keep documents related to GATE like, acknowledgment of application, like hall tickets, application number and other details, in a safe place. Give it to mom or someone responsible, who can give that back to you when you need them. This is to avoid last minute tension for obvious things. I hope these points will help many of to take a start off. Please don’t waste time and take a start. The one who start early and work consistently reach early and hope see IITs for M.Tech. GATE is a simple exam just needs constant effort to crack it. Don’t worry about competition by number of candidates appearing for GATE, make highest marks as your competition. This post is a part of a series of posts called GATE Preparation: A complete Guide. You may find many useful articles related to GATE there. This series is made to help students appearing for GATE exam and want to score really high to join IITs and NITs. No it is not. But joining a test series from any good coaching institute is what I recommend. Every test exposes some part of the syllabus you aren't proficient with. So you can work and repair yourself with that part.

You don't need any third party study material if you seriously want to crack GATE. You just need the standard course books and previous year GATE papers. I'll suggest the best course books for the subjects later in the article, but only for CS&IT because I'm a CS student.
Well, if you have studied properly during your B.Tech/B.E. then you don't need to prepare!!! Hehehe! But noone actually studies seriously during B.Tech/B.E.! Engineering is fun time! Passing exams during B.Tech/B.E involves mugging up the important stuff the night before paper and vomiting everything in the answer book! Back to our topic now, well if you have slight ideas of every subject, at least the overview i.e. what the subject is all about and some other basic fundas then you can prepare easily. Just collect all the standard books and previous year papers. Identify the topics which are source to questions in the previous papers and study the topics seriously and thoroughly, followed by practicing questions asked in papers from previous years. That was the way I prepared. As an added advantage, join a test series. To further add up, try to collect test series papers from other institutes from your friends if you can. The crux is that, study the topics and practice more and more and more ..... and more and even more and yet even more questions.

Just collect all the standard books and previous year papers.
Collect standard books. If you have sold them then collect anyhow, from your friends or from the seconds sale books market or anywhere you can. Then identify the topics from previous year papers and make a list for each subject. The list should be sorted in descending order of the frequency of topic in GATE papers. For example: for TOC I had identified the most frequent topic as "Identifying the grammar or language". For Computer Architecture, "Pipelining" and "Cache memory" were hot topics. in Data Structures and Algorithms "Trees" were hot. I've misplaced my list, otherwise I would have posted it for the students.

If your CS concepts are clear, you don't need to dream, because you can do it! You just need 2 hours every day for 3 months. Thats enough to crack GATE.
